Placement & Installation Instructions

For optimal coverage, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and manufacturers recommend installing a carbon monoxide alarm on every level of a multi-level home, including inside bedrooms, living spaces, hallways, and basement areas. Flexible Mounting Methods:

• Option 1 (Screw Mount - Standard): Hold the mounting bracket against the wall, mark the screw holes with a pencil, drill the holes, tap in the provided plastic wall anchors, secure the bracket with screws, insert the AA batteries, and slide the alarm onto the bracket.
• Option 2 (3M Adhesive Tape): Insert the batteries, attach the bracket directly to the alarm housing, apply the 3M tape to the back of the bracket, and press firmly to adhere the assembly to the desired wall space. (Note: Adhesive installation is not ETL test certified).
