Is this air cooler the same as an air conditioner?

No. Unlike air conditioners, which use a compressor and chemical refrigerants to chill the air, this evaporative cooler uses the natural process of water evaporation. It is much more energy-efficient (consuming only 220 watts) and is designed for use in open environments like patios or garages where a traditional AC would be ineffective.

Can I use this unit indoors?

While primarily designed for outdoor use, it can be used indoors in large, open rooms with plenty of cross-ventilation. Because evaporative coolers add moisture to the air, they require a constant supply of fresh air (such as an open window or door) to prevent the room from becoming too humid.

Do I have to keep refilling the water tank manually?

You have two options. You can manually fill the massive 14-gallon tank, or you can use the auto-refill hose inlet. By connecting a standard garden hose to the unit, you can enjoy continuous, hassle-free cooling all day without having to check or refill the water levels.
