Don't buy some cheap knock off on the internet. These last twice as long if you flip them over every time you fill the water reservoir.

You Only Live Once. So why not get the best? Honeywell makes the best filters and a lot of other stuff, too. Never mind that I'm an ex-Minnesotan whose mother worked for Honeywell as an assembler for 23 years – actually, that may color my opinion a tad – but the truth is, I've tried other brands, and these are simply the best. The original and still the best.

Replacement Filter

Was happy to find them. They work well. I remove them each time I replace the water in the tank. I wet them and turn them upside each time to reverse their position. I don't know if it makes a difference. Wish they weren't expensive and that they were available locally so I didn't have to pay shipping.

Seem better than generics

Bit pricier, but quality and saturation efficiency seems superior to amz generic replacements. I assume Honeywell does some sort of quality control hey what a concept.

I have an old HCM 1000 humidifier that still works perfectly, and have used aftermarket filters with ok results, but the original Honeywell's with the blue prefilter are still the best, but hard to find, so glad I got a couple

Great product

We use this humidifier in our kids room. It's easy to clean and the new filter design is better and easier to use. When we use it a lot we do need to change the filter fairly often, every few weeks, despite meticulous care, flipping after every use, etc.

Conditional to your air quality

Great when new. Sometimes you need to flip the filter so it gets fully damp. Over time, air particles dust will collect on these and reduce the efficiency. Having an air purifier nearby reduces filter buildup and may extend the life of the filter.

I purchased the A-2 pack HAC-504 directly from the Honeywell store. Their prices were very competitive and the design and construction of the filter is well worth the money. I tried other brands, it boils down to you get what you pay for.
