A MERV 13 rating is one of the highest filtration levels available for residential HVAC systems. These filters are electrostatically charged to capture a very high percentage of microscopic particles between 0.3 and 1.0 microns, including:
- Bacteria and virus carriers
- Most smoke (including wildfire and tobacco smoke)
- Cooking oil and sneeze droplets
- Microscopic allergens, pet dander, and mold spores
Each filter in this pack is designed to last up to 3 months, providing a total of one year of filtration per 4-pack. However, because MERV 13 filters trap much finer particles than standard filters, they can load up faster. It is a good idea to check the filter every 30 days if you have pets, high indoor activity, or live in an area with high outdoor pollution.
These Ultra Efficiency filters are made in the USA. They feature a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant frame that provides extra structural support, ensuring the filter stays in place and maintains its shape even under high-pressure airflow.
