I ordered four First Alert smoke alarms to replace my Firex alarms which were installed when the house was built. The adapter plugs made the install of the First Alert alarms a snap. The hardest part of this project was moving the ladder from room to room. I ordered from the First Alert store. Items were packed securely and arrived within 4 business days. Five stars for my overall experience with First Alert.

My First Alert Smoke Alarm plugged right into my existing mount without having to use any adapter. The original alarm from First Alert was installed when my house was built in 2006 and worked great until it finally died last month. Hope the model stays active in your inventory for a long time to come.

Have always used First Alert, when Installing Alarms. This order was a Replacement for Smoke Detectors that were installed when our House was built. Of course I chose First Alert to replace the originals, when you have the Best Available, why would I consider any other Detector?!

Ordered these as replacements for 11 year old units that were installed when our house was built that had gone bad. Installation could not have been easier using the adapter plugs! Did have to switch out the base attachment as well, but that too was very simple to do.

February 29, 2016Hardest part of changing out the 10+ year old units was opening the package. Simply unplugged the old units, added the adapter and then swapped the trim/mounting plate with 2 screws. Attached it to the ceiling... Tested it...beep...beep...success! Simple, fast, and it fits. Enough said.
